Even though I had a reservation they had let all the cars go. Avis is individually owned and he was not pleasant over the phone either. Thank you for ruining our weekend plans..
Love renting from Avis...especially as a Preferred Customer. It's always so easy to get in and out, and their prices are great!
First of all, I picked up the car in the morning to start a family trip, took about 30 minutes to get out of the place because of slow service. I got to the minivan and it was filthy, empty soda bottles in the back cup holders, dog hair over the carpet. Also it had a rear blinker out that as soon as you started the car it told you on the center console. Because of the slow service I decided to go to a gas station and fill the tires myself and take my chances with the rear blinker. This morning I go to return the car, which I scheduled for 8:00am. I got there at 9:10 after having delays dropping kids at practice. They told me they have to charge me for the whole day. I left with the car and will be showing up with it 2 minutes before closing and well see how quickly they work then. I rent cars a lot with work, and by far this is the worst rental experience Ive ever had. DO NOT EVER USE THIS RENTAL AGENCY!!!
